Job Summary
Boys & Girls Club of Washington County is currently seeking a part-time Front Desk Receptionist with loads of enthusiasm and positive attitude able to work in a fast-paced environment. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. This position has the opportunity to work up to 30 hours per week.
The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for overseeing the Front Desk area and providing regular clerical and administrative support to the Director of Operations & Programs, Program Coordinator and other Club staff as needed. Prepares end of day reports, helps maintain club member database and answers telephones. Ensures the safety of all members entering and exiting the Club. Greet and provide assistance to visitors, members, parents and volunteers.

Job Responsibilities
- Greet and announce visitors, the public, parents, and members in a courteous, welcoming, and friendly manner.
- Notifies proper individuals when visitors or clients have arrived; ensures that visitors and clients have signed-in.
- Provides assistance to callers and visitors by answering questions and providing instructions.
- Answer phone calls. Screen calls, take messages, and transfer calls as necessary.
- Accurately relay information about upcoming events, activities, field trips, Club closings and times to the public in a timely manner through personal contact or phone calls.
- Page members for pick up.
- Keep the reception area clean and neat at all times.
- Keep member files in order and accessible.
- Track members attendance in all program areas.
- Do registrations on a daily basis for walk-ins.
- Computer data entry tasks as assigned.
- Track incoming and outgoing members, making sure they scan or sign in and out.
- Enforce and monitor members arrival and pick up procedures.
- Collect member and registration fees.
- Ensure the safety of all members entering and exiting the Club.

- Ability to direct phone calls to the appropriate person or destination.
- Ability to respond to and assist callers and visitors in a courteous and tactful manner.
- Ability to screen calls in a courteous and tactful manner.
- Ability to work with people and to provide assistance in a calm, courteous and tactful manner.
- Ability to record accurate and complete messages.
- Ability to perform clerical support work while operating the phone and reception desk.
- Ability to maintain an adequate supply of applications, informative materials and/or brochures for distribution to visitors.
- Ability to respond to emergencies in a calm and effective manner.
- Ability to project a positive and professional image of Boys & Girls Club of Washington County.
- Ability to read, write and communicate.
- Ability to sort documents alphabetically and numerically.
- Ability to perform routine clerical work such as typing, filing and data entry.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Spanish speaking and writing is preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer relations skills.
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Successfully pass a drug screening / background check.
- At least 21 years old.

- Salary: $8.00/hour
