Knowledge, Skills and Experiences Required
- Program Strategy, Development & Evaluation: Assist the Executive Director in developing and implementing a strategic vision for youth programming, ensuring alignment with the Club's mission and goals. Lead staff in creating engaging, age-appropriate activities, evaluate program outcomes, and prepare reports to track participation and success metrics.
- Staff Training & Management: Coordinate and deliver training sessions for program and operations staff on policies, procedures, and best practices. Provide coaching to program staff to ensure high-quality program delivery and member engagement.
- Operational Oversight: Maintain an efficient and welcoming Club environment that supports program and operational excellence. Ensure Club facilities are safe, well-maintained, and optimized for program delivery. Coordinate logistics for Club operations, including facility usage, vehicle maintenance, and supply management, and oversee inventory systems for program supplies and equipment.
- Policy & Compliance: Develop and implement policies and procedures for facility operations and program delivery. Serve as a key member of the Safety Committee to maintain a secure environment for youth and staff. Ensure compliance with organizational, state, and national safety guidelines and operational protocols.
- Community and Vendor Partnerships: Maintain strong relationships with community partners to support program growth and service delivery. Communicate with vendors and service providers for facility maintenance and program needs.
- Transportation Support: Assist with transportation logistics, including occasional driving duties to support program staff and member transportation.
Qualifications and Characteristics Required
- Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s Degree or higher preferred
- Experience: Proven experience in youth program development and organizational operations
- Passion for Youth Development: Genuine interest in and commitment to the positive development of children and youth.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills
- Organizational Skills: Adaptable to shifting organizational priorities and strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Relationships: Ability to collaborate closely with the Executive Director, Administrative Staff, and Program Staff to foster program and operational success. Maintains relationships with community partners, vendors, and stakeholders to enhance program offerings and promote Club visibility.
- CPR/First Aid Certification: Current certification in CPR and First Aid (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Typical Hours of Work: 9:00 pm-6:00 pm; Mon – Fri
- Background Check: Successful completion of a criminal background check and child abuse registry check.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed for program activities and events.
- Passion for Mission: Alignment with the mission and values of the Boys and Girls Club and willingness to be an ambassador at the Club and in the community for the mission.
Knowledge, Skills and Experiences Required
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must be able to read and write effectively.
- First Aid and CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Valid driver’s license may be required to drive Club vans.
